It’s Masters golf week, and the world’s best golfers are gathering at Augusta National Golf Club in hopes of playing a few rounds together and earning the honor of wearing the sport’s most prestigious jacket.
There was no shortage of news last week. Tiger Woods is not playing the Masters for the second year in a row. After being arrested on March 27, the golfer announced that he would be taking a break from the game for a while.
Another legendary name not on the green course is Phil Mickelson, who announced last week that he would not be participating in the event due to personal family health issues.
There will be plenty of stars teeing off this weekend, with world number one Scotty Scheffler heading to Augusta as the favorite and last year’s defending winner Rory McIlroy also in the mix.
