Xander Zayas (23-0, 13 KOs) unified the title in a thrilling split decision over Abbas Barro in Puerto Rico in January 2026, making history as the sport’s youngest unified champion and the first Puerto Rican to unify in the weight class.

The popular 23-year-old boxer returns to New York for his ninth fight in the Big Apple. He enters this fight nearly a year after winning his first world title, where he won the vacant WBO belt with a dominant victory over Jorge Garcia Perez.

Boots Ennis (35-0, 31 KOs) is aiming to become a unified champion in two weight classes – and he accomplished that goal after just one fight and one round in the new weight class. The Philadelphia star unified the welterweight division and added the WBA strap to his IBF crown with a devastating knockout of Eimantas Stanionis in Atlantic City in April 2025.

The 28-year-old, who turns 29 the day before his fight with Zayas, made his intentions clear in his debut in the 154-pound weight class. He defeated Wisma Lima in one round on his home turf to win the interim WBA title.
